Once considered "over the edge,"
accelerated freefall has become the top
choice of first-time jumpers at Austin Skydiving
Center.
Imagine yourself as the captain of a four-person
skydiving team. You say, "Ready,"
and your team, including two specially-
rated AFF jumpmasters and a video cameraman,
jump together from more than two miles high.
During the next minute of freefall, you
call out the altitude and perform a few
basic drills. Relax and enjoy the most amazing
view of central Texas, with your coaches
observing at your side. Meanwhile, the video
flyer gets it all on tape.
At 5,000 feet, you prepare for pull time.
Then, at 4,500 feet, you open your parachute.
Under canopy, follow the jumpmasters to
the target, while a ground coach assists
by radio.
AFF is the course for those who want it
all on the first jump!

Tandem freefall jumping has made skydiving
available to more people than ever before.
Now, instead of an all-day training course,
you can be ready to skydive in as little
as an hour!
If you wish, you can take a video cameraman
along to film it all.
Tandem freefall lets you experience the
thrill and beauty of skydiving with the
security of an instructor right there with
you, able to talk to you and point things
out in freefall and after the parachute
is open. Tandem jumping is truly a skydiving
"classroom in the sky!"

The traditional method of making a first
jump is still the most economical. After
the ground-school training, you’ll
jump from 3,200 feet. Your parachute opens
automatically. During the next five minutes,
you’ll maneuver your very responsive
parachute and enjoy the sights from a bird’s-eye
view!
The class trains you for everything you
need to know about how to steer yourself
and land gently near the target. A ground
coach stands by on radio.
Static-line jumping is a challenging and
exciting introduction to the world of skydiving!
