  Fall Special

Be sure to take advantage of our Fall Special - $139 tandem skydives, but hurry, offer ends October 27th!

Instruction for returning jumps usually lasts about one-half hour. Allow about two hours' total time for drill and practice, the jump, and de-brief. Some segments of student training require more time; we'll let you know when to expect these.

We highly recommend making reservations for returning jumps. Even if you decide you want to jump the same day, a phone call before you leave will help.

Try to arrive as prepared for returning jumps as you did for your first jump--wear appropriate clothing, bring your logbook and money for lunch.

Note: After your first Tandem freefall, you may progress either by making a Tandem level 2 jump, or by taking the Accelerated Freefall first-jump course at a reduced price.

If you are interested in completing the entire student program, ask about our package deals and other ways to save money on your skydives.

The New Student Program

Texas Skydiving Center is just one of a few parachute centers in Texas using the U.S. Parachute Association’s new Integrated Student Program.  We are one of only two centers in the country to have won an award from the USPA for its student training.

The new program is more comprehensive than the programs that were previously recommended for student training, which means you will learn more about each facet of skydiving.

With each skydive that you make, there will be reading materials for you to review, as well as canopy and freefall skills for you to perform. Between each category, there is an oral quiz.

When you come back for your second jump, you will be given a Proficiency Card, which will track not only your jump progress, but also the various reviews and lectures that are required to graduate student status.  After you have completed 20 jumps and all the requirements, the Proficiency Card becomes your Class A License.

The advantages to the ISP program are tremendous. Students graduating through this program are more knowledgeable, safer skydivers.  They have a much more thorough understanding of all of the related aspects of skydiving rather than just knowing how to “fall out of the airplane.”

Check out the ISP program on UPSA's website www.uspa.org.
